Now for the News!
The next challenge has been set by Andy. We are to write a story on 'The epiphany of becoming a super-hero.
He thought it would be an interesting premise!
This will be in for.. Wednesday!
After a talk me and Andy decided that we always leave the writing till the last day and never really write them in advance, so it doesn't make a difference when the entry date is as we will only ever start them on that day or the day before. THEREFORE! We are going to have two dates a week.
Wednesday - Sunday - Wednesday - Sunday
This means more writing for us, and more reading for you! We hope you follow!
Well, This is me signing off, Time to dig out the ole Marvel comics for this challenge!

Feeling lucky punk?
The next project is LUCK set by Moi!
I have been obsessed with 'Luck' recently. I like the idea of these characters being naturally 'lucky'. The start of Halo 3 Cortana says, in reference to Master Chief:
"They let me pick, did I ever tell you that? Choose which ever Spartan I wanted. You know me, I did my research. Watched as you became the soldier we needed you to be. Like the others you were strong and swift and brave; a natural leader, But you had something they didn't, something no-one saw but me. Can you guess? Luck.... Was I wrong?"
Some characters just seem to be lucky, not kept alive by skill, but by luck. Take Indiana Jones for example.
I must admit, when I set this, I had an idea brewing already but I wanted to see if I could pull it off and challenge Andy in the process!
Expect Luck on Sunday 09/02/08!

Reviewers, Reviewers, Wherefore art Reviewers?
Are you a friend?
A passerby?
Perhaps someone whos just really fucking bored?
Please review our work! Just a simple paragraph on each piece, maybe even just a list of pros and cons, just something, some kind of feedback! Even just a 'I liked Number One the best'.
We are really interested to hear what you all think! This is important to us!

Delays, Delays
Not even a two weeks old in its conception the Shaun and Andy project falls behind with delays. This was on the admitted fault on behalf of one of us, though I wont say who so Andy doesn't feel too guilty... oops.
Well, if you have been following us, the pieces should have been up on Wednesday, well it's now Friday and their finally up. You will be able to find (here) our entries for Something Evil and also, as a special treat, our Reviews for each others work. We believe its important for us to keep a review going so we can help each other learn. These should have been up Monday by the way. But darn our laziness!
It's Andys choice for the next project, we are taking suggestions from you lot too but for the first few were sticking with ours. Please don't hasten to subscribe! (top left) And please follow us!
We are trying here people!.... Despite the delays!

Challenge 2: Evil
Today a new challenge has been set. This was my own, as Andy did the last one. By Wednesday 23rd we are to write a short Description of something Evil.
It can be fictional or something that has happened in real life.
It should be about a page in length.
I chose this task as I felt it would help us to work on our 'Description' while having a fun topic to write about. Description is neither of our strong points.
Till Wednesday!

Challenge 1: Romance
The first Challenge has been set by Andy. From Sunday 13th to Sunday 20th we had to write a piece of Romantic Fiction.
It should be a short story of any length and can contain anything as long as it revolves around the main theme, Romance.
Andy chose the subject as it is something netiher of us have much experiance writing about and so would be challenging.
As we are late starting the blog we have already completed the first task.
You can find our works here:
Romance 1
Romance 2
We hope you enjoy them!

First Post
The first post. Having been only a week since I started my own blog I should be used to these first introductory posts.
So, Whats this?
Andrew Cowan and Myself, Shaun Kellett, have decided to set each other a challenge. We both like to think we are 'Alright' at writing and would definatly like to improve. We are both quite inventive with good imaginations, its just that transition from the mind to the paper we need to work on. We felt that if we wrote more then we would become more creative, practice makes perfect afterall right?
This way we will find experiance in new genres and writing styles and hopefully gain some constructive crtisism.
Hows this work?
Well. Each week we will set ourselves a Challenge. There will never not be a challenge. At the start we will put a deadline down and then when the deadline is up we will issue a new challenge, taking it in turns to come up with challenges or asking other people to set them. The challenge could be ANYTHING literary, from Poetry to Reviews to Prose to Speechs. Anything at all.
The pieces are submitted via Deviantart and will be there for all to read. They will be Annoymous so nobody knows which of us wrote what. That means you yourself wont judge on who's is who.
After 24 hours of the deadline we will have read each others work and will critise it accordingly and hopefully post the critisms here.
Why should you be concerned?
We are hoping that you will all take part by reading our work, it will probably be around two pieces a week at the most, taking about 5 - 15 minutes to read. Hopefully we will have some automatic followers in the form of friends, and you will be able to post comments about the pieces on either here, the DeviantArt site, or on my own Blog. We hope this appeals to you as we really need the confidence and motivation to get more creative and actually do something usful with our free time!
If you ARE interested, and why shouldn't you be?, then feel free to use the 'Subscribe Via Email' at the top right hand corner, it is easy, simple, and will only notify you about this blog. Please do it if you feel so inclined!
Thank You for Reading.
